One person is dead in Michigan after contracting a mosquito-borne virus.
Officials in Kalamazoo County say a person died after getting Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
Another person in Kalamazoo County reportedly has the same virus, and there is another confirmed case in Berrien County.
Officials are looking into two other possible cases in Kalamazoo County.

No information has been released about the person who died.
The best way to guard against mosquito bites is to wear repellent with DEET and wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants.
Mosquitoes in Elkhart County have also tested positive for this dise
ase.
