Unlike other email providers, Tutanota does not use OpenPGP encryption and does not support IMAP, POP, or SMTP protocols. This means that it is not compatible with other messaging service providers. Instead, Tutanota uses its own encryption.

Mailfence

Messaging also offers POP / IMAP and Exchange ActiveSync but also the possibility of using one's own domain name. However, unlike other private email providers, its code is not open-source .
