Use the task manager to see the current usage of your internet connection
To check exactly which programs are currently using your network and how much data they are downloading, see Task Manager . For this, I invite you to follow these steps:
- Open the task manager , right-click on your taskbar and select " Task Manager " or press Ctrl + Shift + Esc .
- Then in the list of processes, click on the " Network " heading to sort the list of processes that consumes the most your bandwidth .
- Finally, all software that uses the local network or Internet will be displayed in the window.
See the use of your internet connection in the last 30 days
Windows 10 tracks the history of applications that use your internet connection and the amount of data they are transferring. You can see which programs have used your network in the last 30 days and how much data they have transferred.
To find this information, follow these steps:
- Go to Start> Settings> Network and Internet> Data consumption .
- Then click on " Consumption Details " at the top of the window. (You can press Windows + I to quickly open the Settings window.)
- From there, you can scroll through a list of apps that have used your network in the last 30 days.
- If you're on a Wi-Fi network , you can see the apps that used your current Wi-Fi network.
